Winnie the Pooh is a childhood favorite for many. Who doesn't love that sweet bear and all his friends? I grew up watching Winnie the Pooh, it was always one of my favorite Disney movies. I was recently selected to create an project that involves The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh . I was delighted to be picked and had the sweetest ideas in mind.
When you combine an Event Stylist and an awesome Disney movie, magic happens. I came up with the idea to throw a magical 100 Aker Wood party with all of Pooh's friends. Complete with a "hunny" pot tutorial and free printables for you to use for your own party too! Since "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" was just re-released on August 27th in a Blu-ray Combo Pack and HD Digital you can now have your own magical 100 Aker Wood Party too!
Hunny Pot Tutorial:
Supplies:
Terra Cotta Pot and Saucer
Gold Paint
Paint Marker
Sponge Brush
Wooden Ball for handle
E6000 Industrial Glue
Protective cover for surface
Lay protective cover over surface you are working on. Remove any price tags from the terra cotta pot and saucer and paint outside and inside of both pieces.
Let it dry. Repeat painting step if necessary for even coating.
While the base and saucer are drying paint the wooden circle piece and let dry.
Once pieces are dry, take the industrial glue and attach wooden piece to top of saucer for lid. Next, take the terra cotta pot and write with the paint pen the words HUNNY as you would like. Winnie the Pooh always seems to have his "N's" backwards.Once dry, place the saucer as the lid on top of the terra cotta base.
You now have an adorable Hunny Pot for treasures, collecting things or anything magical. See how easy this craft was? You can see pictures below of the hunny pot I created in action at the 100 Aker wood party.
