Styled Shoot: Dreamspun

This past Winter I styled a clothing line look book and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Dreamspun is a local children's clothing store with some cute pieces. Korrie is the creative designer behind the adorable brand and has one very talented mind. When I was bough on board Korrie had already created the concept behind this fun shoot. No better theme if you ask me than "Girls Party Gone Wild." You can see the Pinterest board here. This seamed very fitting for me as my role has been significantly in the party world.

Dreamspun has been seen several times before in party styled shoots, photo shoots, blogs and more. When I first heard on Dreamspun in the part world it was the adorable shoot found here from Kim of The Tomkat Studio. I remember Dreamspun was one of the first to design petti-skirts and petti-rompers.

I brought on some of my best sweet vendors to create cookies, fondant toppers and edible details. I enlisted in Linda from Frog-prince-cake-cookie-design and Renee from Astonishing Cakes LLC. Also, my sweet friend Jill from Events By I Candy who supplied rentals for the shoot.

A lot of my inspiration came from the fabric choices in the Fall line and the medallions that were purchased from oriental trading. The medallion floral wall was a huge focal point for the shoot and really added a fun and whimsical element to the shoot. I took the concept and also have Linda from Frog Prince Cake and Cookie Design make fondant medallions for the cake. The medallions then were put on top of lollipop sticks that accented the top of the cake. Linda, even amazingly was able to transform the fabric details into the most adorable and cute sugar cookies ever. They were almost too cute to eat, but boy were they good.

For cupcake toppers I had Renee from Astonishing Cakes LLC create a few different looks. She brilliantly make a needle and thread, Dreamspun logo and a few other sewing notions. Sometimes, I can fathom how fondant artists even do it :) The details of the toppers were just lovely. I couldn't of asked for anything more.

Carrie from carrie anne photography did an amazing job capturing the sweet little girls in the shoot and all the lovely details. I hope that you enjoy as much as I had fun styling the shoot. Be sure to check out my Facebook page to see more fun pictures from the shoot found: here

SNAP! An amazing blogging conference to connect with brands.

SNAP! Creativity at your fingertips. Wow! This conference definitely holds up to it's name and tag line. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I felt so inspired. Creativity, was definitely there. If you are a blogger, creative person, business owner this is a must go to conference. Snap, is an annual social media conference for bloggers, focused on entertaining, crafts and home DIY. Never ever have I felt so connected with so many other entrepreneurs, crafters and bloggers under one roof. Also, let me just say the resources and the companies that sponsor this great event are amazing. Under one roof you have amazing companies like Cricut Lowe'sWorld Market Cold Stone and more.

The thing I was most excited about was meeting and listening to so many fabulous bloggers that I have been admiring for years. Let's not forget the opportunity to connect with some of my favorite party girls and stay with the lovely and sweet Jen from Banner Events :) Some of my true craft and business inspirations I got to meet were Rhonna from Rhonna Designs , Shelly from House of Smiths, Becki from Whippy Cake , and MORE!!! There was such a wide variety of speakers that truly touched every aspect of the blogger and crafty community. Some of my favorites, but not all were "How to Work with Brands, Instagram, Branding and Parties that Wow." While I am still trying to process all of this information and apply it to my business. I have been been busy tackling an game plan.

Snap is not only a conference where you are able to learn a lot for your business but also very fun. With pajama parties, dance parties, craft night, shopping  and the endless resources to connect with sponsors and other business professionals. Besides, you get to go home with some serious Swag. I mean a whole suitcase full of fun stuff. If you want to learn more about Snap you can find their website here.
You won't be disappointed and the small fee to attend the conference is so worth it.I will definitely be back!

If you were to define one great name when it comes to styling and creativity, Camille Styles takes the cake. She has been an inspiration for me since I stumbled upon her work a few years ago. Check out below the adorable Mother's Day Brunch she recently styled. I just adore the floral inspiration throughout and the bright pops of color that brings together the wholesome and delicate feel she seemed to capture. My favorite detail is the lovely flowers that serve as seating arrangements on each plate.
